Payment, Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Odette Confectionery, every batch of macarons is handcrafted to order in our dedicated secondary home kitchen. Because our products are perishable and made specifically for each customer, we require clear and consistent payment and cancellation guidelines.

PAYMENT POLICY

Payment Required at Time of Order

All orders must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Your order is not reserved—and production does not begin—until payment is received.

Full payment ensures we can secure ingredients, schedule production time, and prepare your order with the care it deserves.

Accepted Payment Methods

  • Credit/debit card through our website

  • Payment links/invoice (for custom or event orders)

  • Any other payment methods explicitly listed during checkout

REFUND POLICY

All Sales Are Final

Because our products are handcrafted, perishable, and made-to-order, all sales are final.

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Customer cancellations under 14 days

  • Failure to pick up

  • Taste preferences

  • Weather-related issues during pickup/transport

  • Damage occurring after pickup or delivery

Quality Assurance

If you ever believe there is an issue with the quality of your order, please contact us within 24 hours, and we will gladly review the situation. We may request photos to help us assess the concern.

Quality-related refunds or remakes are provided at our discretion and are handled on a case-by-case basis.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Standard Orders

Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours (3 days) before the scheduled pickup or delivery date.
Orders canceled within this timeframe may be eligible for credit toward a future purchase, at our discretion.

Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled pickup are not eligible for credit or refund.

Custom & Event Orders

For custom macaron sets, color-matched orders, or event catering (including weddings, showers, and corporate orders):

  • A 50% non-refundable retainer may be required at the time of booking.

  • The remaining balance is due 7–14 days before the event, depending on complexity.

  • Custom/event orders canceled within 14 days of the event date are not eligible for refunds or credit, as ingredients and production time are allocated in advance.

CHANGES TO ORDERS

Flavor or Quantity Changes

We will accommodate order changes whenever possible — however:

  • Changes must be requested at least 3 days (72 hours) before the scheduled pickup for standard website box orders

  • Changes must be requested at least 14 days before scheduled pickup for custom orders

  • Changes are not guaranteed and depend on availability

  • Increases in quantity may require additional payment

  • Decreases in quantity are not refundable once production begins

Date Changes

We will do our best to accommodate date-change requests.
New dates are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

NO-SHOW POLICY

If an order is not picked up on the scheduled date and no communication has occurred, the order is considered abandoned and is not eligible for refund or replacement.

Because macarons are perishable, abandoned orders cannot be reused, resold, or remade without additional payment.

WEATHER, TRAVEL, & STORAGE

Macarons are delicate and sensitive to temperature.
Odette Confectionery is not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Heat exposure

  • Freezing temperatures

  • Humidity

  • Extended travel time

  • Improper storage after pickup or delivery
